The Steel City Holdings LLC is an owner-operated retail company. We buy authorized wholesale inventory from consumer brands and sell it to customers nationwide through managed online retail channels.
The company
Small on purpose. Precise by necessity.
The company was formed in 2023 with a narrow thesis: in online retail, the scarce thing is not another seller — it is a seller a brand can trust with its pricing, its listings, and its name.
So we built the business backwards from that. We carry a short roster of brands rather than a long one. We take positions we can actually support with capital and attention. And we accept terms we can honor in a bad month, not just a good one, because a commitment you can only keep when things go well was never a commitment.
We are early in our roster and we say so plainly. What we offer a brand today is not scale — it is discipline, documentation, and a partner who behaves the same way at ten units as at ten thousand.

Document everything
Every unit traces to an invoice. Clean paperwork is what turns an authenticity complaint from a crisis into a five-minute email.
Report the bad news first
If a SKU is underperforming or a shipment is late, you hear it from us before you find it yourself. Surprises are the actual damage.
Grow only where proven
Reorders follow real sell-through data. We do not scale a position on optimism, and we do not chase volume that breaks the first three rules.

Founder & Managing Member
Shawn founded The Steel City Holdings in 2023 and runs sourcing, supplier relationships, and channel operations directly. He comes to it from a corporate sales background, where the work was the same underneath: earn the account, then be the vendor nobody has to manage.
He is the single point of contact for every brand relationship. When you email this company, you are emailing the person who signs the purchase order and answers for how your product is sold — not a queue.
