Brand protection
The standards we hold ourselves to.
Most brands have been burned by a reseller. This page exists so you can decide whether we are different before you spend a call finding out. These standards apply to every brand we carry, whether or not the brand requires them.
Minimum advertised price
We hold advertised price at or above the brand's stated MAP on every channel we operate. This includes sale events, clearance, coupon and promotional-badge mechanics, and bundled offers where a component would fall below MAP.
If a competing seller breaks MAP on a shared listing, we do not follow them down. We notify the brand instead. Price stability is worth more to both of us than a temporary buy-box win.
Authorized sourcing only
Every unit we list is purchased directly from the brand or from a distributor the brand has authorized in writing. We do not buy from liquidators, unauthorized wholesalers, retail arbitrage, online marketplaces, or gray-market importers.
Purchase orders and supplier invoices are retained and produced on request — including to marketplace operators during an authenticity review, so a claim against your brand can be closed quickly and in your favor.
Listing integrity
We sell on the brand's listing as the brand built it. We do not create duplicate or variation listings for products you already list, alter titles, bullets, images, or A+ content, change category or browse-node placement, or register your product under any brand identity other than yours.
Where we spot an error or an opportunity in your listing, we send it to you as a suggestion. The decision stays yours.
Channel discipline
We sell only through the channels named in our account agreement with you. We do not add a marketplace, storefront, or geography without written approval, and we do not resell wholesale lots to other resellers, jobbers, or export brokers.
Your product reaches an end consumer. It does not disappear into a distribution chain you cannot audit.
Product handling
Inventory is stored in dry, secure, temperature-appropriate conditions and rotated first-in, first-out. Dated goods are pulled well ahead of expiry. Cases are inspected on receipt; damaged, opened, or short-shipped units are quarantined and never listed as new.
Packaging, inserts, warranty cards, and labeling ship exactly as you supplied them. We do not repackage, relabel, or bundle your product with another brand's without written permission.
Customer experience
Buyer messages are answered within one business day. Returns are handled to marketplace standard or better, and defect trends are reported back to the brand rather than quietly absorbed — if a SKU is generating complaints, you should hear it from your reseller first.
We never post, solicit, or incentivize reviews, and we do not use review manipulation of any kind on your listings or a competitor's.
Intellectual property
We use brand names, logos, and marketing assets only as permitted by the brand, and only to sell genuine product sourced through authorized channels. We claim no rights in any brand's marks. We do not bid on brand terms in paid search unless the brand asks us to.
Violation response
If we are ever out of compliance — ours or a supplier's error — one email to Thesteelcityllc@gmail.com gets a same-business-day response. We will correct the price, pull the listing, or stop the shipment first and discuss it after.
Any brand may require us to cease selling its products at any time, for any reason, with no notice period required. We will confirm removal in writing.
In plain terms
We would rather lose the order than the account.
Every rule above costs us something in the short run. That is the point. A reseller who will not absorb a small loss to protect your price is a reseller who will eventually cost you a large one.
Questions about any of this?
If your legal or channel team needs these commitments in a specific format, send us your reseller agreement and we will sign to your paper.
